Install the first row of flooring by starting with a full length of material and connect it end to end with another piece.
How to lay snap together wood flooring.
Pick one that is straight.
Place the tapping block against the end of the floor piece and tap it with a hammer to close the gap.
Cut the last piece to length.
Face nail each board at the point of every joist and set the nail with a nail set.
It snaps together by lining up at an angle and then flattening out the row being installed.
Begin the first row of flooring by placing the planks with the tongue side facing the wall.
Snap this piece into the first row.

Space between the next full piece of flooring and the previous piece.
This will prevent damage to the tongue or groove from the hammer.
Continue until you reach the last piece.
Snap a scrap of flooring across the ends being joined to hold them in alignment while you tap them together.
When you come to the end of the first row cut the length of plank needed to complete the row.

Install the second plank next to the first by aligning the tongue into the groove and press the plank down to snap it in place.

Align the edge of the board with the chalk line and drill pilot holes down through the hardwood plank and into the sub floor and joist.
